ALETHEIA
In the book of Matthew 28:20 Jesus Christ commands us to not only, spread the Gospel but to also teach those who will place their trust on Him to obey everything He commanded us. Alethia is a ministry that has identified a need for new believes to learn obedience fundamental areas of our walk with Christ. For those who have been in Christ but now have stagnated.
TRUST AND OBEY
1. All things are made new
When God by His Spirit regenerates us from being dead to Him because of sin, He makes everything new, the old is gone.
2. Grow in Christ
The commandments of our Lord are not burdensome, loving Him is obeying Him and it brings growth.
3. Bear fruits
This is what glorifies God, that we bear much fruit, fruit that will last.
MAKE IT YOURS
The grace to grow comes from God as we continually surrender our lives to Him. Being sober about where your affections lay and where your heart is, brings growth.

We walk with Christ as we have learned Him, but is all that you learned about Him true? Are you walking with the Jesus of the Bible?
- PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST
You are an integral part of the Body of Christ, because every part of His Body is important.

CATALYST
We are a ministry that seeks to equip believers to spread the Good News in every way possible, all the time, organically and otherwise. We will not only train believers on how to share the Good News of Jesus Christ but also create opportunities to do so. We believe it is every believers joy to share this Good New to a dying world. With the Leading of the Lord of the harvest the Holy Spirit, every believer can be part of God’s work in bringing many to saving faith.

1. SEEK AND YOU WILL FIND
As you seek the Lord, He seeks others though you.
2. METAMORPHOSISED INTO HIS IMAGE
The Lord continues His good work in us till Jesus comes back. This means we continue to grow in Him. As we grow we are able to help others grow too.
3. GIVE ME YOUR HEART
The closer we walk with the Lord, the more our hearts beat for Him, the more we will love as He loves.
MAKE IT YOURS
What is really stopping you from testifying about your Savior? Why are you gaged, chained? Are you waiting to gain experience, know more? Is it because you are busy, you don’t have time? Is it fear of rejection? Whatever it is God can meet you where you are and lift you up for His glory. If only you will own up.
- DIFFERENT WAYS TO TESTIFY
The Word promises that as we follow Jesus He makes us fishers of man.
- IN AND OUT OF SEASON
The Gospel is shared more effectively when we are genuinely sharing from our hearts, as we go about living we organically point whosoever will listen to our Redeemer.
“How are they to call on One they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in One they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them?”

Ends of the Earth
Our Mission to the Ends of the Earth is simply a commitment to obey the Great Commission (Matthew 28)
This depicts the need to present a Gospel witness in places beyond the borders of Edenvale, and often to Nations, People and Cultures far removed from our own.
As a Church our heart is to partner with the global Church in initiating a witness to unreached people groups. This sometimes means partnering with global Missions agencies, but primarily aiming to send and support our own members to these frontier ministries. To that end we have a Missions department that aims to Expose, Equip and Encourage members for the great task of making disciples of all Nations. This happens through Short-Term Missions trips, Mission Week campaigns, and developing Missionaries.
Current vocational Missionaries that we support include the following people
(due to security reasons certain information is withheld):
Brian & Shirley – South East Asia
Brian & Shirley are national leaders in their Missions organisation, with the responsibility of coordinating numerous strategic teams operating in their region.
Marili – South East Asia
Marili serves in a strategic and financial support role to the missionaries in South East Asia, whilst also ministering to the people living in this area.
Kenny & Corine Brown – Northern Mozambique
The Browns are working with an unreached people group in Northern Mozambique, the Makhuwa. Their primary ministry is helping people read, understand & apply the Bible in their own language.
Keith & Christeen Moller – Malawi.
The Mollers are ministering to the Yao people in the Nyasaland region of Malawi.
Mark & Lorraine – MAF.
Mark is a pilot serving at MAF international (Missions Aviation Fellowship), which provides aviation support for Missions work in various countries in Africa.
Diane Wilkinson – National Freedom Network
Diane heads up the strategic governance of this network, which is directly involved in the opposition of human trafficking in South Africa.

Through Edenvale
We realise that our mandate to disciple all Nations begins in Edenvale.
As it turns out, we have many Nations right here on our doorstep, thanks to our urban environment. Thus as we reach Edenvale we know it will send ripple effects that may end up at the Ends of the Earth!
We also believe that God has placed us here, for this time, and we heartily embrace our mandate to be a Gospel presence in our city. At EBC we divide this Gospel work into two parts:
- Gospel Declaration
- Gospel Demonstration
We recognise that the primary need of mankind is to be reconciled to God, and that this happens through the declaration of the Gospel. However, we also recognise that our actions will go a long way in demonstrating this Gospel that we speak of, and perhaps opening doors for Gospel Declaration. We thus have Gospel Demonstration Ministries that assist our declaration efforts.
Our current Gospel Declaration ministries include:
- Chaplains:
This ministry consists of a few of our Church members who serve with the Emergency Services and minister to people affected by trauma and crime. - Difference Maker Days (D-Day):
On three Saturdays in the year the Church assembles as a team to perform various Gospel witness activities in Edenvale.

- Tabitha House:
One of our partner outreach organisations.

We participate in a network of Churches that provides food for approx 150 people every day in Edenvale. - Hidden Treasure:
This ministry generates funds through the running of several second hand stores around JHB. The Edenvale branch is the backbone of financial support for Tabitha House. - Hidden Place:
This ministry focuses on ministering to the children in Alexandra township, through camps and local outreach. - Aurora Christian School:
This school was started by members of our Church, who provide Primary School education for approximately 100 children in the Bapsfontein Area.
