This is our Children’s Church for 3 – 6 years olds. We believe that the gospel is for all people, even little ones! We have a wonderful team committed to loving the children and teaching them about Jesus. The children have a time of welcome and worship, followed by fun Bible teaching, verse memorizing and exciting games, crafts, baking and activities.

This is our Children’s Church for 7 – 13 year olds. Jesus says ‘let the children come to me’ and that is what we are all about: creating and providing a space to share Jesus with children. The children have a time of welcome and worship, followed by a time of corporate fun Bible teaching, small-group discussion, verse memorizing and exciting games, crafts, baking and activities.

Transformation Youth is a family transforming by the power of the Holy Spirit. We base our youth group on Romans 12: 2 “Do not conform to the things of the world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” We help our teenagers to know God for themselves and have a personal relationship with Him and how to make God their foundation in their everyday lives.
We have Fridays from 19:00 -21:15 (for ages 13 – 18) that’s where we focus on community and relationships alongside with praise and worship with a small talk. On Sundays we then dig deeper into God’s word and see what the word says about the topic at hand.
We have structured it where Fridays and Sundays are linked so it’s awesome to see the teenagers there on both days. 😊
At Transformation we learn together how to
love as Jesus loves,
serve as Jesus serves,
sacrifice for others as Jesus sacrifices for us
and to submit ourselves to our Saviour King in all things.

People between the ages of 18-30 probably face the greatest number of significant life changes and challenges in the shortest period of time than any other group of people.
Our desire at EBC is to aid the young adult into living wise and Godly lives, making wise and prayerful decisions, and at the same time having a profound social sense of community among other believers.
We have a two-fold emphasis, one being discipleship in community and the second being fellowship in community. We thus emphasise two aspects of ministry:
1. Young Adult Home cells
2. Social events run throughout the year

Families are important to us, as we believe that strong marriages and families are the foundation of strong churches and communities.
It is in the family that essential principles and values of life are taught and modelled and where the Gospel can be lived out effectively. As such there is no better group to effect positive change in the world than the family.

Our Okes ministry exists to impact our city through it’s men. We believe in the God-appointed role of influence given to men, and thus seek change in our city through transformation in the lives of the men of our city.
Thus our mission is three-fold. We aim to:
This takes places in the form of various socials, breakfasts, connect groups & conferences. See our Church Calendar for confirmed dates of ministry for this year.

At EBC we love ministering to all the generations represented in our city, and this includes a passion to minister to our Senior Citizens.
Our aim is to encourage them in their walk with God, and to enjoy the fellowship of the church. This happens through the following ways:

It is within these small groups that sustained life-transformation takes place. It is here that men and women can build lasting personal relationships, praying, teaching and caring for one another. Homecells are the best place to truly experience life in the family of God!
These groups consist of six to twelve people meeting weekly in members’ homes, under the guidance of a Homecell leader. A Homecell member commits to participate in all the groups’ activities, including Bible Study, Prayer and any Outreach activities in which the group decides to participate.
Edenvale Baptist offers a wide range of small groups led by gifted and trained leaders.
While most of our Homecells are mixed in, we understand that people have a need for a small community that relates to their life experience, and thus have groups for people at all stages of life.

Incorporating the Gospel into everyday life is not an easy task.
Human hearts are vulnerable, hardened by the weariness of life, and there is an enemy of the soul who aims to undermine our faith.
All of this means that we take the role of biblical counselling seriously, as a safe place where the intersection between faith and life can be processed.
The primary way in which we offer biblical counseling is through our Counseling Support Groups. We believe in the power of community-based support, allowing God to minister to people through others who are processing similar struggles. Some of the Support we offer includes:
